Description
Position Overview The Bilingual Case Management Coordinator is responsible for setting up and maintaining disability claims, gathering information used to assess applications for disability benefits, and ongoing maintenance of disability files. The position requires communication with all stakeholders, high attention to detail, and the ability to multi‑task.
Schedule: 7.5‑hour shift Monday–Friday 9:30 am–6: pm AST with an additional requirement to work 1 week of 1–9 pm AST every 15 weeks.
Responsibilities
Set up new applications accurately and follow up to obtain missing information within specified timeframes;
Ensure all administrative duties are correctly performed (invoice payment, follow‑ups for information requested);
Complete each step of documented processes for new claims, claim closures, and CPP/QPP applications;
Respond to client inquiries related to life and disability claims by email and telephone (telephone inquiries handled through a phone queue);
Setup system and input data in each of the claims management and payment systems;
Accurately manage financial responsibilities related to administering income replacement benefits such as benefit calculations, offsets, and payments;
Prepare letters, templates, formatting, and proofreading for errors.
Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum six months experience in an administrative role, preferably in a health‑care or health‑service setting. Customer service experience also preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology or experience as a medical secretary considered an asset.
High attention to detail.
Comfortable being on the phone.
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to complete financial calculations using provided tools.
Excellent computer skills with superior knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Fluently bilingual (English and French) both written and verbal.
Security Clearance Requirement: Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) with fingerprinting, criminal record check, credit check, residency in Canada for at least five years, and Permanent Resident or Citizenship status.
Pay Range 40,254– 45,285 CAD.
