ClaimsPro LP, Canada’s largest independent adjusting firm, is hiring a Director of Business Development for its Calgary and Vancouver territories. The role focuses on expanding the company’s presence in the Western Canadian insurance, broker, and claims markets. Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong business relationships with insurance-based networks, brokers, and insurers. Travel regularly to meet clients in person, attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Capture insights from meetings and translate them into clear, detailed outlines of each client’s needs for operations.Establish structured follow‑up plans and track progress through consistent engagement. Set up client meetings and close on new business. Manage growth initiatives, drive innovation in account development, and consistently broaden customer base and services provided to client partners. Maintain competitive market intelligence to leverage opportunities in the marketplace.Develop and achieve annual sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans. Own key account management and drive organic growth opportunities. Accountable for sales initiatives related to the service of client claims. Deliver revenue targets, new business, and organic growth through client relationship management.Qualifications
Business development experience in the insurance industry, with a minimum of 5+ years of claims experience. Established relationships and a strong network of contacts within the insurance industry. Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience; CIP beneficial. Strong presentation skills and a solutions‑and‑service orientation.Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to build trust quickly and naturally. Comfortable and confident in meetings, presentations, and social settings. Organized, detail‑oriented and capable of turning conversations into action. Curious, asks the right questions, and listens closely.Self‑motivated, disciplined, with strong follow‑through. Willingness to travel and represent the company externally. Benefits
Competitive salary: $80,000 to $120,000 annual base salary plus commission. Commission structure rewards high achievement and sustained performance. No cap on upside– earnings directly increase with success. Auto allowance provided.
