Are you ready to lead impactful land development projects and deliver results that shape communities? R.J. Burnside&Associates Limited is seeking a performance‑driven Intermediate Land Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse ICI and Mixed‑Use developments while building strong client relationships and driving project success.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading land development projects from concept to completion
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and external agencies
Managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables across multiple offices
Producing detailed engineering designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Coordinating with internal teams to ensure efficient project execution
Conducting site visits and attending client/agency meetings
Supporting cross‑sector collaboration within Burnside
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day project tasks and ensure deadlines are met
Prepare proposals, manage budgets, and lead business development efforts
Conduct invoicing and manage accounts receivable
Lead quality control processes and ensure design accuracy
Identify new business opportunities and foster client relationships
What You Bring
Registered Professional Engineer (PEO) with 7+ years of licensure
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 7–10 years of land development experience
Minimum 5 years of design and project management experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project
Strong knowledge of municipal and provincial review processes
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle

Experience in subdivision design, SWM, flood plain modeling, water/sewer systems
Field services and contract administration expertise
Salary Range:
$115,000 - $130,000
The final compensation offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
