Barista/Bartender We are searching for a warm, friendly, and courteous Barista/Bartender, responsible for serving beverages and/or items on the menu to guests in a professional, competent, and prompt manner, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests while showcasing our coffee drinks and cocktails menu, making recommendations based on guests’ preferences, up‑selling special items and taking orders.
Key Accountabilities
Always provide the highest quality of service to our guests and associates alike.
Greet guests as they enter, consistently delivering exceptional service.
Give guests food and/or drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients.
Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios, cocktail preferences, etc.).
Prepare beverages following recipes and beverage standards.
Work professionally with all guests and fellow associates.
Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins.
Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards), following all check handling and credit card policies and procedures.
Keep the bar area clean.
Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates.
Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
Communicate customer feedback to manager and recommend new menu items.
Check and replace glassware where needed.
Endeavour to work in a unified and collaborative way– one that fosters teamwork.
Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
Practice safety standards at all times, leading by example.
Qualifications
An experienced professional with previous experience as a Barista, Server or Bartender in a coffee shop or bar environment.
A Hospitality or Tourism program graduate or degree holder.
Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, and a strong commitment to Safety.
Someone who places priority on providing guests with the best possible experiences, going above and beyond to ensure total satisfaction and guest loyalty.
Someone with excellent communication skills.
Able to work well under pressure, multitask and enjoy a fast‑paced environment.
Someone with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn and prefers to work as part of a team.
Knowledgeable in food handling, food safety, and basic math skills.
Someone with valid ProServe certification.
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs.
