BARTENDER'S ASSISTANT, Calgary

As a Bartender’s Assistant, you play a key role in keeping the bar running smoothly and ensuring guests have a seamless experience. You’ll work closely with bartenders to keep supplies stocked, the bar area clean, and service flowing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This behind-the-scenes role is perfect for someone who is energetic, organized, and eager to learn the fundamentals of bartending while being part of a fun and supportive team. With hard work and dedication, this position is an excellent stepping stone to becoming a bartender!

Skills and Qualifications

Previous hospitality or bar/restaurant experience is an asset

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Must meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving alcohol in your province

A valid Serve it Right certification is required

Availability must be open to work late nights and weekends

Must be 18+ years of age

Roles and Responsibilities

Support bartenders by ensuring bar areas are fully stocked and guest‑ready

Restock liquor, beer, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other supplies throughout the shift

Keep bar and service areas clean, organized, and safe (including clearing glassware and empty bottles)

Assist with inventory counts and product rotation during your shift as needed

Anticipate bartender needs and help keep service smooth and efficient

Handle deliveries and restock storage areas as required

Collaborate with both FOH and BOH to maintain seamless service and a great guest experience.

Availability Requirements

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical shifts range between 4–8 hours and extend into late night hours.

Compensation + Benefits

$15.00 per hour in wage
