Description
Training Coordinator - Instant Ticket Production We're looking for a resourceful, process-driven Training Coordinator to join our Manufacturing team within our Winnipeg Office at 140 Otter Street.
This is a newly established, long-term opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of operational knowledge and structured learning. You'll own the training function for our press room operations— designing how knowledge gets captured, who delivers it, and how we measure whether it's actually working. If you're someone who can wrangle subject matter experts, build the infrastructure from scratch, and make sure the right people are trained on the right things, this role was built for you.
Who We Are With a legacy spanning over a century, Pollard Banknote has become a world leader in instant ticket manufacturing and digital lottery solutions that enhance player engagement through cutting-edge technology. Our diverse and talented team brings ideas to life through creativity, innovation, and collaboration. From exciting lottery experiences to impactful partnerships, we’re shaping the future of gaming and making a difference in millions of lives. Join us and help reimagine how the world plays.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation
Profit sharing program– every role plays a part in our success!
Company pension
Opportunities for professional development
On Site Gym
Footwear subsidy program
A variety of committee driven employee engagement activities
Employee&Family Assistance Program
Uniform program
Free Parking
What You'll Do
Assess training needs across press room operations for new and existing employees; identify competency gaps and build plans to close them
Coordinate and manage subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the right people are delivering the right training— you don't need to know everything, but you need to know who does and how to get them in the room
Design and maintain a training matrix that tracks who needs to be trained on what, by when, and to what standard
Develop training aids, SOPs, manuals, and reference materials that capture process knowledge in a clear, usable format
Deliver and facilitate training programs using a variety of methods including on-the-job coaching, classroom instruction, and hands-on floor training
Track and report on training outcomes; evaluate program effectiveness and make evidence-based recommendations for improvement
Maintain accurate employee training records and manage logistics for all training activities
Partner with manufacturing leadership and stakeholders to align training priorities with operational goals
Participate in process and throughput improvement initiatives as capacity allows
Who You'll Be
A natural project manager— you can hold a plan, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and keep things moving without being the bottleneck
Someone who can translate complex technical processes into clear, accessible training without losing the detail that matters
Comfortable operating in a manufacturing environment and building structure where little existed before
Skilled at working with subject matter experts— you know how to extract knowledge from people who are great at doing the work but don't necessarily know how to teach it
Organized, self-directed, and able to manage competing priorities without losing momentum
A strong communicator— equally at ease on the production floor and in a documentation review meeting
What You'll Bring Education&Experience
Post-secondary education in a related field (business, operations, adult education, or equivalent); equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience will be considered
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in an operational training or training coordination role within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience developing SOPs, training materials, and structured learning programs
Familiarity with printing, bindery, or production environments is a strong asset
Technical Skills
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with learning management systems or training tracking tools considered an asset
Understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them in an operational context
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and translate it into training content
Credentials
Training&Development certification (e.g. CTDP, CTP, or equivalent) is preferred
Additional credentials in Lean, continuous improvement, or quality management are considered assets
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, days; occasional overtime may be required
Travel: Up to 20% travel may be required to support satellite facilities— a valid passport is required
Work authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada or eligible for a work visa
Pollard Banknote Limited is an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory response from a Criminal Record Search.
