Community Occupational Therapist, Complex Auto– Windsor, ON Working in communities across Ontario, our Community Rehabilitation Services team treats clients who’ve experienced mental stress injuries and motor vehicle accidents, focusing on a return to pre-accident function.
Occupational Therapists within our Complex Auto program assess and treat clients presenting with various physical (musculoskeletal, orthopaedic), cognitive (TBIs, concussions) and psychosocial abilities, including non-CAT and CAT files. Working in a community setting, you will complete in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment, and several other interventions.
This program gives OTs the opportunity to provide‘start to finish care’ to their clients, from the acute stages of injury, all the way through return to pre-MVA function, making this work more meaningful and rewarding.
Wage range $42.00–$54.00 per hour

What You Need To Be Successful
Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
A valid driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle (travel up to 1-1.5 hours radius)
Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in a variety of settings, including client’s homes, workplaces, and/or in the community
Passion about your profession, commitment to ongoing professional development, and dedication to providing excelled client care
The ability to thrive in a self-directed and independent environment
Strong organizational skills
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and analytic skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Empathy and an effective ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
Experience in the private sector, particularly auto sector legislation, is an asset
