Red Seal Electrician, Windsor

Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations;

Install, replace and repair electrical control and distribution equipment such as VFDs and Motors;

Install, replace and repair distribution equipment such as portable power sub-stations and associated power distribution equipment;

High voltage systems maintenance;

Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repair;

Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components;

Duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications 2-3 years:

The successful candidate will hold a valid Red Seal Journeypersons license and have 2-3 years of mining electrical experience. Previous underground work experience is considered an asset in addition to experience in all aspects of the electrical trade. Strong mechanical background would be an asset and heavy industry experience is preferred.
