Position Overview
Reports to Pharmacy Manager. Responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering prescription medication accurately and timely, ensuring adequate inventory levels, providing patient counseling, fostering positive customer interactions, and promoting awareness through public relations activities. Responsibilities
Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely to patients. Ensure medication and over the counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs. Provide counseling to patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive and proactive manner.Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.). Provide timely and positive resolution to patients’ needs and doctors’ requests/issues. Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary). Provide ongoing training for recent and existing Pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPG’s).Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license. Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism. Excellent leadership and performance management skills. Proven ability to build business using community-based marketing strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem‑solving skills including experience formulating and executing action plans. Strong personal computing skills, and knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer system. Benefits
