Position Summary The Sales Representative is responsible for building and fostering strong customer relationships. They design strategies aimed at growing revenue by satisfying customer needs and special requests. This position will also use consumer research to maximize potential revenues and gain the loyalty of their clientele.
Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service
Meets regularly with their selected clients
Developing and maintaining customer relationships
Gaining leads and prospects
Promoting products and services to both existing and potential customers
Providing solutions to consumer concerns
Bringing value to the customer. Samples, product information and knowledge, proper substitutions, letting customers know about shorts asap and in-person visits
Cold calling, weekly call list and keeping customer memos up to date.
Representing and promoting the company at events, such as conferences or trade fairs
Devising ways to increase revenue and profits
Recording sales data and updating databases
Ensuring your clients meet or exceed sales goals
Research
Observes competitor strategies
Conducting customer research to find sales leads
Researching market trends and identifying new business opportunities

Proactively contributes to creating a good team atmosphere
Anticipates and overcomes obstacles

Other Related Duties
Prepares weekly schedules and keeps detailed notes about each customer
Provides detailed reports to the Operations Manager every week
Entering orders accurately and meeting deadlines– invoicing when necessary.
Answering calls, replying to emails, and confirming orders.
Helping walk-in clients and taking care of pick-ups, as needed.
Working with purchasing regarding customer requests and to ensure adequate stock levels are on hand, report shorts.
Working with marketing to obtain proper knowledge, information, and tools to successfully promote the sales programs.
Reports To Operations Manager
Experience, Education&Qualifications
High school diploma
Post-Secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related is not required, but would be considered an asset
Experience in Sales and Customer Service
Valid Class 5 License with a clean driving record (required)
3 Years of Driving Experience
Competent with Computers and Microsoft Office software
Familiarity with Sage 100
Food Safe and WHMIS are required. Training will be provided after 3 months of work, if the employee is not certified.
First Aid would be an asset

Base Salary: $52,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
Performance-Based Bonus: Commission tied to sales achievements (eligible after 6 months)
