Could you be the full-time Maintenance Supervisor in Whitby we’re looking for?

Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your organizational and leadership expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and readiness of commuter coaches and locomotives for revenue train service. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across operations, maintenance, and logistics, oversee equipment servicing, and manage schedules to meet maintenance guidelines – and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of planning, organizing, and managing a team of Equipment Maintainers, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians, but also ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Reviewing workloads and assigning appropriate staff for repairs, maintenance, or trip and brake inspections in a timely manner

Monitoring equipment servicing and repairs by auditing staff and completed tasks

Ensuring appropriate materials are on‑site to expedite repairs

Planning work schedules and assignments to meet maintenance guidelines

Tracking work order completion using Maximo and overseeing employee timekeeping using Kronos

Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards

Qualifications

Post‑secondary education preferred, but a minimum of Grade 12 is required

Completed apprenticeship (an asset)

Experience in equipment maintenance and repair processes

Knowledge of maintenance guidelines and safety standards

Familiarity with work order management systems such as Maximo

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Effective communication and team management abilities
