At Alstom, we specialise in transport networks and what moves people, offering a broad portfolio across high‑speed trains, metros, monorails, trams, turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility.
Your future role You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and readiness of commuter coaches and locomotives for revenue train service. You’ll work closely with teams across operations, maintenance and logistics, oversee equipment servicing, and manage schedules to meet maintenance guidelines.
You will specifically take care of planning, organising and managing a team of Equipment Maintainers, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians, and ensuring all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Review workloads and assign appropriate staff for repairs, maintenance or trip and brake inspections in a timely manner
Monitor equipment servicing and repairs by auditing staff and completed tasks
Ensure appropriate materials are on site to expedite repairs
Plan work schedules and assignments to meet maintenance guidelinesTrack work order completion using Maximo and oversee employee time‑keeping using Kronos
Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Qualifications
Post‑secondary education preferred; a minimum of Grade 12 is required
Completed apprenticeship (an asset)
Experience in equipment maintenance and repair processes
Knowledge of maintenance guidelines and safety standards
Familiarity with work order management systems such as Maximo
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Effective communication and team management abilities
