Visitor Experience Gallery Officer AGGV, Victoria

Join the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria as a Visitor Experience Gallery Officer, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. This part-time role requires flexibility for shifts throughout the week.

In this role, you'll play a key part in enhancing visitor safety and experience at AGGV. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, aiding admissions, and monitoring exhibitions to maintain a positive gallery environment. The position calls for strong communication skills and the ability to conduct important operational procedures while supporting various events. Evening and weekend availability is a must to meet the gallery's needs.

Key Responsibilities:• Provide information to visitors about exhibitions • Manage admissions and direct customer inquiries • Support gallery protocols throughout exhibitions • Perform opening and closing checks of gallery areas • Assist with event setup and cleanup tasks as needed

Requirements:• Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work with a culturally diverse audience • Familiarity with relevant software applications • Basic First Aid certification required • Capability to stand and lift moderate-weight items
