Pursue a fulfilling career as a Psychologist with Victoria Johnson Street Health Centre in Victoria, BC. Provide therapeutic and assessment services across various multidisciplinary care environments.
In the role of Psychologist at VJSHC, you will work with adults facing severe mental health challenges, providing individual and group therapy tailored to client needs. This position emphasizes collaboration within an interdisciplinary team and is committed to delivering compassionate, culturally safe care in line with Island Health's policies. Your role will be instrumental in achieving effective mental health solutions for a specialized population.
Key Responsibilities:• Offer psychotherapy and psychological assessments • Conduct therapy in individual and group formats • Work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care • Address the needs of clients with urgent mental health issues • Maintain adherence to health and safety protocols
Requirements:• Completed Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology • Licensed as a practicing Psychologist in BC • At least five years of experience required in relevant settings • Valid BC Driver's license for site visits • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
