This is a full-time, on-site Framer role located in the Greater Nanaimo Metropolitan Area. The Framer will work on constructing, assembling, and installing the structural framing for residential luxury homes and timber-framed projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling framework. The role also involves the use and maintenance of tools, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and collaborating closely with a team of skilled builders to meet project deadlines and standards.Qualifications

thick skin Strong carpentry and woodworking skills, including experience with framing Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and construction plans Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely Understanding of safety protocols and best practices in construction environmentsExcellent teamwork and communication skills Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic Experience in residential or luxury home construction is a plus Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting 100lbs and carrying it for 20', carry 2 sheets of 1/2 inch plywood 20', being able to shoulder 3-4 2x6 studs.
