We believe that great communities start with great people. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Resident Manager to join our team, where you will play a central role in creating a welcoming, well‑maintained, and thriving home for our residents.

Responsibilities

Deliver exemplary customer service by responding professionally and promptly to resident inquiries, greeting tenants, visitors and contractors.

Lead the full life cycle of the resident process.

Conduct property tours for prospective residents.

Assist in providing welcome or move‑out packages to residents.

Assist tenants with onboarding to the building tenant portal.

Complete scheduled inspections of the building, its exterior, units and amenities (if applicable) to ensure all are maintained to a high standard.

Conduct move‑in and move‑out inspections as required.

Oversee elevator bookings and ensure security during moves.

Follow up and collect monthly rents and maintain all tenant records.

Deliver tenant notices (e.g., late rent, eviction notices, building information).

Manage parking and storage rentals.

Supervise the use of amenity areas.

Respond to and coordinate all tenant repairs.

Answer the building phone line and resolve tenant concerns.

Maintain building contact lists for tenants and contractors and assist in maintaining building maintenance files.

Complete minor building repairs such as painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical work, and assist janitorial duties as required.

Complete daily interior and exterior cleaning.

Program security fobs as required and ensure the properties are safe and secure at all times.

Ensure the Dominion Rocket Property Management Office is neat and tidy.

Assist in arranging resident events and activities in conjunction with the Property Manager.

Ensure preventative maintenance is completed in conjunction with the Property Manager and supervise contractors/trades on site.

Ensure building rules and regulations are followed.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including the RTA, Fire Codes, WCB, and OH&S.

Be on call for property emergencies.

Attend staff meetings.

Provide ongoing reports and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years residential rental experience.

Strong understanding of the BC Residential Tenancy Act and its application.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Willingness to learn and the ability to work without direction– a self‑starter.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel; experience with Yardi is an asset.

Salary and Living Arrangements This position can be either live‑in or live‑out. Live‑in: $53,000 – $57,000, plus $1,000 per month rental credit. Live‑out: $65,000 – $69,000.

Location The position will be based in Victoria, with some travel required to Oak Bay and Nanaimo.
