Description
We are hiring a Human Resources Advisor for our Victoria client. This role offers a strong mix of impact, autonomy, and growth within a company that is actively scaling and evolving its people function. The Human Resources Advisor role provides broad exposure across the business, partnering closely with leaders in a hands‑on advisory capacity rather than a purely policy‑driven HR function. For someone who enjoys coaching managers, solving complex people issues, and having a tangible influence on culture and performance, this is a strong fit.
About Our Client The company operates with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility, supported by a vertically integrated model spanning product development through to delivery and support. Known for its relationship‑driven approach, it emphasizes long‑term partnerships and consistent, high‑quality outcomes for clients across a global network.
About The Opportunity Our client is a stable, established business with a long operating history, strong benefits, flexible hybrid work, and a relatively flat structure—so less hierarchy, more direct access to decision‑makers, and faster impact. This Human Resources Advisor role is a rare opportunity to step into a business where HR is still being shaped, meaning the work goes beyond maintenance into real build‑and‑influence territory—helping define howthe People&Talent function operates, improving systems, and directly shaping leadership capability across the organization.
About The Position
Serves as a key HR partner to employees and people leaders across the business
Advises managers on day‑to‑day people matters including performance, conduct, and employee development
Supports resolution of workplace issues by assessing context and providing practical, balanced recommendations
Works with internal stakeholders to deliver people‑focused initiatives that support business objectives
Contributes to the ongoing development and improvement of HR policies, programs, and processes
Assists with compensation‑related activities such as review cycles and market alignment support
Participates in enhancing HR systems and tools to improve usability and effectiveness
Leverages workforce data to identify patterns and support informed decision‑making
Supports planning activities related to workforce needs and organizational structure
Helps build leadership capability through informal coaching and guidance
Contributes to engagement and culture initiatives aimed at improving the employee experience
Collaborates across departments to ensure consistency and alignment in people practices
Operates effectively in a changing environment, balancing structure with flexibility and sound judgment
The Requirements
5+ years of experience in HR or People&Talent roles, ideally in an advisory or business partner capacity
Degree or diploma in Human Resources
CPHR or pursuing is an asset
Comfortable applying HR practices and employment legislation in practical, real‑world situations
Experience working directly with leaders and influencing decision‑making through guidance and coaching
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous situations and exercise sound, balanced judgment
Exposure to compensation processes, frameworks, or total rewards programs considered an asset
Experience contributing to HR program or policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to interpret data and use insights to support people‑related decisions
Collaborative working style with a willingness to partner across multiple functions and teams
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
