Vercity Social Infrastructure (Canada) Ltd is seeking a CPA‑qualified finance professional to join our team as an Associate Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a public practice background looking to move into a commercial, project‑focused role supporting Canadian and international infrastructure (P3) projects. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering financial management and reporting across a portfolio of infrastructure assets, working closely with stakeholders, investors, and senior leadership. Effectively acting as the controller on key infrastructure projects focused on improvingthe communities they operate in, no day will be the same and you will gain commercial exposure on high‑profile, long‑term, privately funded projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee full‑cycle accounting, including debt, distributions, financial instruments, tax, AP/AR, and payroll
Prepare and present quarterly financial reports and annual budgets
Lead year‑end audits and liaise with external auditors
Ensure compliance with tax requirements, financing covenants, and contractual obligations
Update financial models and support investor distribution analysis
Assist with treasury management, including cash flow and banking
Build and maintain relationships with investors, public sector clients, and advisors
Act as senior finance lead in the absence of the Finance Director or Finance Manager
Qualifications
A capable, credible CPA qualified, practice‑trained accountant ideally with 3 years PQE
Experience in an intermediate or managerial accounting/finance role, with demonstrated progression
Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP and IFRS
Ability to engage with senior stakeholders; board‑level exposure is an asset - and if that is the next step in your career - you'll get it in this role
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
Exposure to infrastructure, P3 projects, or asset management environments would be an advantage, but not essential
