Assistant Manager, Member Services - Bay Centre Branch, Victoria

Job Summary At Coast Capital Savings, we’re looking for an Assistant Manager, Member Services to lead a team of Member Service Representatives in providing simple financial help to our customers. This role will be based at our flagship branch downtown Victoria and will have a direct impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the Manager, Member Services, to seamlessly coordinate the needs of the branch and achieve the team’s goals.

Exceed customers’ expectations with their banking needs.

Coach the team in developing sales skills, building relationships, and embracing our purpose, mission, values, brand and business practices.

Celebrate team successes, such as achieving sales targets or helping a member grow their career.

Exemplify our "How can we help you?" brand while achieving sales, growth and profitability across each area of our business.

Use bean-counting skills to ensure efficient cash management and oversee all security matters per Coast Capital’s standards.

Create a high-performing team by selecting, engaging, developing and retaining star performers.

Qualifications

Leaders who understand "leading from the front" and can translate strategy into action.

Minimum four years of leadership experience with front-line employees in a bank or credit union.

Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related area.

Investment Funds in Canada certificate a plus.

Strong ability to resolve member complaints with a smile.

Passion for coaching employees to success, training, rewarding and recognizing them.

Strong knowledge of relevant banking technology systems.
