Responsibilities
Provide reliable financial information, account reconciliation analysis and operational support related to events, tenants, third‑party agreements and other internal management reporting requirements. Support the implementation of risk management and internal controls, including assessment and monitoring of internal controls to ensure they are adequately designed, operating effectively and compliant with accounting and organizational policies.Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by providing timely and accurate month‑end support, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and assistance in preparing year‑end audit notes and working papers. Ensure timely, complete, and relevant financial information to support senior management decision making by preparing monthly, quarterly, andannual schedules and reports, performing variance analysis on operating expenditures and other income, and compiling supporting schedules.Ensure timely and accurate billings to customers, in collaboration with operations, by preparing event settlements and analytical reports that include event profitability for events and operational services. Coordinate and attend monthly meetings with third parties to ensure financial compliance, timely collection of receivables, and resolution of issues.Ensure completeness and accuracy of third‑party billings and perform an annual audit of specified procedures to maintain effective controls. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Three (3) or more years of progressive financial analysis experience. Working toward Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation in Canada; candidates who have passed the Common Final Exam (CFE) are consideredan asset.Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Word. Experience with accounting and financial reporting in a computerized workplace; proficiency with Great Plains is an asset. Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) / Public Sector Accounting Standards.Compensation and Benefits
