Summary Description

Completes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs under the supervision of a Maintenance Mechanic or the Maintenance Manager.

Equipment: Jomar, Husky, Nissei, Beckum; plastics/packaging background with injection, extrusion and blow molding.

Major Responsibilities

Requisitions machine parts and equipment through the Maintenance Manager.

Completes and files all assigned maintenance work orders through the Maintenance Manager.

Reports machine deficiencies, oil leaks, irregularities and unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Manager.

Reports low parts inventory levels and numbers to the Maintenance Manager.

Education

Required:

Successful completion of a recognized course in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or equivalent competency demonstrated by successful employment history.

Preferred:

College diploma.

Experience

Required:

A minimum of 5 years related work experience in Canada.

Preferred:

Plastics experience.

Skills

ISO 9001 Introduction

GMP/GDP

1 week training to be completed in-house.

Safety Training

Ability to communicate and work well within the Maintenance Team
