Production Packaging Associate, Vaughan

Altium Packaging is seeking a Production Packaging Associate for an entry level position responsible for proper packaging of materials and finished products. Responsibilities include loading and moving material and operating packaging equipment while following Good Manufacturing Practices. Responsibilities

Demonstrates punctuality and adheres to work schedule. Works well and effectively with others. Demonstrates a One Team Cross Functional attitude by working well and effectively with others. Demonstrates safe work practices by wearing appropriate PPE, following Stop Think Act, and escalating abnormalities immediately.Demonstrates Operator Driven Quality by performing hourly inspections, adhering to GMP policy, and escalating issues when defects are found. Safely and efficiently operates on a designated line. Correctly runs drop tests for bottles on designated line. Monitors operation of conveyor systems and clears bottle jams.Discards defective bottles and reports poor quality issues to management. Ensures proper packing and packaging of product in accordance with specific customer requirements. Keeps work area neat, clean, and organized. Performs other duties as assigned by management; duties may differ by plant based on equipment and plant design.Qualifications

Minimum requirements for the job. Experience

Basic mathematical skills. Basic computer experience. Education

Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Training

Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate I training within 90 days of hire date. Physical Demands

The job requires the employee to regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally the employee must climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds is required. Work Environment

The work environment has moving mechanical parts, loud noise levels, and temperatures that fluctuate between hot and cold. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Benefits
