About This Opportunity York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada’s Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a YRES Fun Fair Booth Assistant—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who lovessocializing.
Location Vaughan Public Library at Dufferin Clark Branch, 1441 Clark Ave W, Thornhill, ON L4J 7R4
Date&Time Friday, June 5, 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM (Shift: TBD – 4:10 PM)
Responsibilities
Arriving independently to the event on time and in professional attire
Confidently greeting and conversing with visitors at the booth
Facilitating Lego robotics workshop activities for individual learning levels
Helping count, set‑up, and take down inventory items that were brought
Providing feedback on the event
Requirements
Minimum age: 12
Be able to independently arrive to work on time
Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn
Can commit to scheduled time of the shift
Fluency in English
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks
