Maintenance Technician in Vaughan, Ontario. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and improving mechanical and electrical systems across the plant to support equipment reliability and plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities

Inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, well-maintained conditions; identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Perform troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, ballasts, and fuses. Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting/changing filters and bearings.Work on AC/DC machines. Complete maintenance work orders as assigned and promptly. Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures, unclog lines, and drains. Identify and assist with pump and repair work. Operate a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools including saws, routers, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses, and other hand tools.Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; recommend tools, supplies, and equipment for purchase. Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions on structures related to the project. Install or replace plugs, switches, and outlets. Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Perform tasks according to established practices, procedures, and standards in a safe, independent manner. Report to Maintenance Manager. Qualifications

Three years of related maintenance work experience. Millwright certification, Journeyman or Red Seal credential required. Candidate must be clean-shaven for PPE requirements. Knowledge of safety techniques while using chemicals, power tools, hand tools, and equipment; proper lifting techniques.Available to work a rotating schedule of 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday; overtime on Saturdays as needed; Sundays rare but possible. Understanding of building codes and the International Building Code (IBC). Authorized to work in Canada without employment-based visa sponsorship (now or in the future).
