Essential Duties And Responsibilities This position oversees and facilitates production operations for the assigned area. It includes managing production teams, coordinating production schedules, assigning responsibilities, preparing schedules, coaching employees, and ensuring optimum material and supply flow to maintain efficient production that complies with GMP and SQDC requirements.
Functional/Technical Competencies
Reviews production schedules and estimates associate hours to complete a job assignment. Reviews and edits corresponding time and attendance management systems. Interprets the daily production schedule for associates and delegates duties.
Holds the daily cell meeting and sets expectations for the day.
Facilitates the execution of the operational plan for the team to meet or exceed all quality and GMP requirements and guidelines, participates in programs and committees, and initiates and/or suggests improvements to existing GMP guidelines.
Monitors key activities that drive KPIs (e.g., quality, safety, scrap) and identifies daily production challenges, finding solutions to remove bottlenecks and working with associates to take corrective measures to ensure goals are met and production schedules are maintained.
Assists in identifying best practices and developing standardized work for operational sustainment, recommending measures and changes to improve production, equipment, product quality, and working conditions.
Facilitates acquisition, development, and performance of assigned direct reports, and plans leadership succession within the organization. Develops associates to improve and expand skills and bench strength.
Serves as a link between associates and management, supporting associates through changes.
Experience&Education
Associate’s degree in an applicable field and/or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Experience using MRP/ERP.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience in Lean manufacturing principles, tools, and applications.
Applicable knowledge of performance management methods.
Demonstrated ability to identify and develop talent.
Demonstrated ability to employ process problem‑solving tools to determine root cause and implement countermeasures.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
Demonstrated ability to execute against production playbooks.
Effective oral and written communication.
