Assistant Store Manager, Pane Fresco - Full Time Day, Vaughan

Responsibilities

Oversee a team comprised of Pane Fresco department employees and managers with a focus on providing exceptional customer experience while offering great quality food products with friendly and efficient service.

Work with your team to identify and execute operational goals by coaching and upholding store standards.

Review opportunities, develop and implement business plans to reach sales and financial targets (gross profit, wage cost, operational expenses, inventory, shrink).

Ensure the execution and maintenance of store programs, merchandising and initiatives throughout the sales floor and backroom areas.

Approve department administrative activities including financial reporting, scheduling and budgeting.

Ensure optimal inventory levels and product assortment with emphasis on seasonal events and bookings.

Be responsible for the opening and closing functions of the store and overseeing the store in the absence of the Franchisee.

Lead your team and provide clear expectations, feedback and development plans.

Coach your team on supporting and managing employees (including progressive discipline).

Ensure compliance with laws, company policy, the collective agreement, health and safety and food safety regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A solid focus on providing exceptional customer service.

4 to 5 years experience in the grocery retail or food services industry.

Previous managerial experience would be a plus.

Demonstrated creativity in display merchandising.

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities.

Excellent organization, planning and communication skills.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be available to close the store a minimum of 2 evenings a week.

Food Handlers certificate would be a plus.

Hiring Range $49,800.00 - $66,400.00 per year
