We are seeking an experienced Adobe CDP Architect to lead a large‑scale customer data and customer journey transformation initiative for a leading Canadian utility client. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Adobe Real‑Time CDP, customer journey orchestration, enterprise data architecture, and stakeholder engagement.This role will work closely with business and technical teams to design and implement scalable customer data solutions that enable personalized, insight‑driven, and privacy‑compliant customer experiences across multiple channels. Key Responsibilities
Customer Journey Mapping&Business Discovery
Lead journey mapping workshops with stakeholders across Customer Care, Marketing, Digital, Operations, IT, Data, and Privacy teams. Identify and define priority customer journeys such as onboarding, outage communications, billing, self‑service, and energy program engagement. Translate business objectives and customer journey requirements into scalable Adobe CDP solutions.Define customer use cases, KPIs, and success metrics aligned with customer experience and regulatory goals.
Adobe CDP Solution Architecture
Design and own end‑to‑end architecture for Adobe Real‑Time CDP and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). Develop:
Customer profile schemas Identity resolution and namespace strategies Batch, streaming, and API‑based data ingestion frameworks Consent and governance models
Build unified customer profiles using online, offline, operational, and third‑party data sources. Define audience segmentation and activation strategies aligned to customer journeys. Ensure alignment with Adobe Experience Platform best practices and enterprise scalability standards.
Implementation&Delivery Leadership
Provide architectural leadership during Adobe CDP implementation and deployment activities. Collaborate with Adobe Journey Optimizer, Analytics, and downstream activation platforms. Guide integration strategies for enterprise systems including:
CRM CIS platforms Billing systems OMS AMI / IoT platforms Web and Mobile applications Contact Center systems
Support testing, validation, deployment readiness, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
Data Governance, Privacy&Compliance
Ensure privacy‑by‑design implementation aligned with Canadian regulatory standards including PIPEDA and utility compliance requirements. Define and enforce:
Consent management strategies Data usage labeling Retention policies Access control and governance standards
Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to ensure compliant downstream activations.
Stakeholder&Program Leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders. Collaborate with program managers, analysts, architects, and engineering teams in a multi‑vendor environment. Support roadmap planning, MVP prioritization, value realization, and long‑term operating model development.Drive knowledge transfer and enablement across business and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
Core Experience
7–10+ years of experience in Customer Data Platforms, Martech, Digital Architecture, or related enterprise technology roles. 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Adobe Real‑Time CDP. Strong expertise in customer journey mapping and enterprise customer experience design. Proven experience designing and deploying unified customer profiles at scale.Deep understanding of:
Identity resolution Schema design Enterprise data modeling Customer segmentation strategies
Adobe Experience Platform Expertise
Adobe Real‑Time CDP Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Core Services Adobe Journey Optimizer (preferred) Adobe Analytics, Tags, and Data Collection (preferred)
Industry Experience
Experience within Utilities, Energy, Telecommunications, or other regulated industries strongly preferred. Exposure to CIS systems, billing platforms, call center data, and AMI/IoT ecosystems is an advantage.
Leadership&Consulting Skills
Robust facilitation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Experience working in enterprise‑scale, matrixed, and multi‑vendor delivery environments.
Nice‑to‑Have
Adobe certifications in AEP, RT‑CDP, or Adobe Solution Architecture. Experience working in Agile or scaled enterprise delivery programs.
