Our office specializes in small to mid‑sized projects for clients across Canada. The types of clients we work for include:

Heavy Industrial Facilities Pipelines and Refineries Mining and Mineral Processing Water Treatment

Your Role Design, model, detail and draft 3D models and 2D drawings for civil and structural projects Perform civil structural modelling using governing codes and industry standards and experience Conduct option studies in relation to site layouts Create, organize, and update drawings for FEED and detail designWork with lead designer and engineer to scope out projects and establish project objectives Coordinate work with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, etc. Prepare quantity estimates for projects within the department Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standardsPursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns Additional duties as required

Qualifications Post‑secondary education in civil structural engineering/design diploma or related field 3–7 years of experience CTech, ASct, or ASET considered an asset Proven civil structural design experience in EPC or consulting company Good understanding of applicable industry codes and standard practicesProficiency with Civil3D and AutoCAD 2D and 3D Proficiency with ProSteel, SmartPlant, CADWorx or Microstation, Navisworks is an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 per year. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
