IREN is searching for a High Voltage Design Engineer who reports to the VP of Engineering. This position demands 7-10 years of relevant substation engineering experience, focusing on end-to-end project responsibility. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with utilities and EPC contractors to deliver scalable and reliable substation solutions for various data center projects across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:• Lead detailed design of high and medium voltage substations • Conduct engineering studies like short circuit and load flow analysis • Maintain standardized design templates for rapid project deployment • Act as Owner's Engineer for external consultants and contractors• Review engineering deliverables for project compliance

Requirements:• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering; Power Systems preferred • 7-10 years of substation engineering experience • Strong knowledge of physical design and protections • Familiarity with engineering tools like ETAP or PSCAD • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction
