Position Title Research Fellow, NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) Oxford and Thames Valley

Location Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
Salary&Contract Grade R1– £36,640 to £47,921 inclusive of London weighting, with potential to progress to £52,067. Fixed‑term contract until March 2031. Full‑time.
Job Description A 5‑year project “Planning and Delivering Social Care Theme” funded by NIHR Thames Valley Applied Research Collaboration (ARC), focusing on equity and quality in care, prevention in social care, and integrated hospital/community care. The role involves leading and delivering key research activities in a collaborative, participatory setting, engaging with local communities, third‑sector organisations, and local authorities in North West London.
Responsibilities
Lead and deliver research activities for the social care theme.
Co‑design studies with local communities, third sector organisations, and local authorities.
Generate evidence to inform social care practice, commissioning decisions and organisational practices.
Publish and disseminate research findings.
Qualifications
PhD in social care, public health, health services research or related field.
Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills.
Experience in collaborative, participatory research and engagement with local communities.
Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge of social care settings and policies.
