Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex is approximately 20kilometers northeast of Timmins and consists of an underground mine and surface processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine‑Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt and ore is mined by narrow‑vein longhole stoping methods, then transported to the surface via a modern 1080m deep shaft capable of 4,800tpd.About the Opportunity

We are looking to hire a Senior Mine Engineer to join our Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON on a full‑time basis. The position is scheduled Monday‑Friday, 8hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day. A hybrid on‑site/remote schedule may be considered for the right candidate, with weekly on‑site presence expected. Compensation includes a competitive annual salary of $125,000‑$150,000 and a quarterly bonus, with the following benefits.Responsibilities

Supervise, train and mentor planners, EITs, Mine Technicians and Coop Students within the Engineering department. Provide technical leadership and operational expertise to the Engineering and Operations Team. Oversee, coordinate and prepare engineering deliverables including short/medium/long‑term planning and scheduling, infrastructure and ventilation designs, geotechnical analyses, reconciliations, and reporting.Assist with the development, optimization and implementation of medium‑term mine plans to achieve budget and long‑term objectives in a safe and economic manner. Develop, optimize, and implement long‑term planning and scheduling (reserves and life‑of‑mine), infrastructure and ventilation designs, geotechnical analyses, reconciliations, and reporting.Facilitate daily and weekly planning meetings with key personnel to coordinate activities and meet goals. Assist in the development of the annual mine site budget and quarterly forecasts, with support from stakeholders. Participate in the compilation of month‑end engineering reports and stope reconciliations.Lead and coordinate special projects with Mine Operations and Contractors, including management of the planning, scheduling, and budgeting for each project. Monitor compliance and ensure adherence to applicable engineering codes, regulations, safety and environmental practices, performance standards and specifications.Troubleshoot problems, analyze and recommend solutions so that mining proceeds according to plan. In consultation with the mine team, evaluate alternative optimized methods of ore extraction, stope access and mining sequence, detailing costs, benefits and issues, and make recommendations. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures within the Engineering department and Mine Operations.Participate actively in training programs, personal improvement and job improvement initiatives. Continually develop the ability, knowledge and skills necessary to keep up with changing methods and technology. Assist and coordinate special projects that arise within the planning and projects teams.Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications

Accreditation as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (or actively working toward it), along with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Minimum of 5years of underground mining experience in hard‑rock operations, preferably gold. Experience supervising and mentoring engineering teams, including EITs, technicians and co‑op students.Strong background in narrow‑vein, longhole and conventional mining methods. Proficiency with Deswik, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel). Experience with underground water management, seismic systems and paste fill. Solid understanding of mine planning, scheduling and engineering best practices.Experience working closely with operations teams in a production‑focused environment. Benefits
