Drive cultural programming and community wellness with Moose Cree First Nation as a Land-Based Coordinator. Focus on enhancing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being through traditional practices and teachings.
This position is essential for planning and implementing land-based activities that honor Cree cultural heritage. You will connect with Elders and community partners to deliver safe, accessible programs for individuals and families alike. Strong organization and communication skills are needed, along with a commitment to respecting the traditional knowledge and languages of the community.
Key Responsibilities:• Plan engaging land-based programs for all ages • Cooperate with Elders and community leaders • Facilitate culturally significant wellness activities • Share and preserve traditional knowledge effectively • Address wellness issues collaboratively within the community
Requirements:• Strong understanding of Cree traditions and practices • Experience in community or cultural event coordination • Ability to work with diverse groups respectfully • First Aid/CPR certification or a willingness to obtain • A valid driver’s license and capability to operate ATVs
