Description
Under the general supervision of the Home Care Coordinator, the Community Support Service Worker shall provide yard maintenance and minor home repairs to assist clients and community members to enhance their performance of daily living skills. The community Support Service Worker will support the philosophy of assisting the elderly and community members in maintaining their independence by providing a service which will help clients remain in their home environment to ensure a good quality of life.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma preferred.
Class G or G2 License required.
Experience in operating a truck with a trailer attached.
Experience in operating a four-wheeler with a trailer attached.
2-3 years of lawn maintenance and minor home repair experience would be an asset.
Knowledge and experience in operating lawn maintenance tools and equipment.
Knowledge of small motor mechanics an asset.
Ability to work outdoors in various types of weather conditions.
Ability to safely lift up to 30 to 50lbs.
Fluency in the Moose Cree language is an asset.
Criminal record check clearance is required prior to hiring.
Duration:
Permanent with 3 months probation
