Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 45 to 60 per week Education: Other trades certificate or diploma Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience Responsibilities

Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit Discuss work with supervisor Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions Inspect motor in operation Review work ordersTest automotive systems and components Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs Perform scheduled maintenance service Test and adjust units to specifications Complete reports to record problems and work performed Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective partsKeep maintenance reports and documentation Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work Service attachments and working tools Order parts and maintain inventory Verify and repair emission control systems Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair requiredTest repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications Perform repair work on heavy trucks Required Certifications&Qualifications
