We’re looking for a skilled Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician to join our underground service team in Sudbury. Yes- drug&alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required Travel:
Up to 50% travel required for this role Relocation:
This role is not eligible for relocation
Key Job Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repairs, and servicing on underground mining equipment including LHDs, haul trucks, jumbos, and bolters
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Replace or adjust components and parts to restore equipment performance
Work directly at customer sites, ensuring timely and effective service
Uphold and contribute to a strong safety‑first culture in every task
Qualifications/Requirements
Valid 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal is an asset)
Proven experience with underground mining equipment is required
Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
No restrictions for accessing any mine site
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassistedStrong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities
Strong problem‑solving skills and a results‑driven mindset
Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
