Job Responsibilities STANDARD DUTIES I RESPONSIBILITIES
Support compliance to Magna Standards such as MMSA, MAFACT and MQS systems
Support compliance to IATF, ISO 14001 and TISAX systems.
Assist with internal Human Resources audits (MAFACT, LEA etc.)
Complies and upholds the expectations of internal standards, processes, and legislative requirements.
Conduct in accordance with the Magna Charter, Magna Operating Principles and Corporate Ethics guidelines.
Promotes and ensures adherence to Company, Legislative and Magna Safety practices
Assist with improvement initiatives related to Key Operating Indicators assigned by GM.
Support quality, safety, environmental and sustainability objectives.
Participate in the continuous improvement and cost reduction activities using problem solving methods.
Participate in company meetings and key events as required.
Responsible for ensuring adherence to daily 5S activities and improvements.
Work with other departments towards overall plant goals.
Any other requests deemed reasonable by management.
Job Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Provides daily support to employees while fostering positive employee relations
Leads and supports a variety of HR projects, updates ensuring completion and effective implementation
Manages all hourly WSIB claims, including work accommodation and correspondence
Manages time and attendance for weekly/biweekly pay through Dayforce system
Manage the yearly hourly performance feedback cycle
Maintain accurate HR records, metrics, and documentation while supporting continuous improvement in HR processes
Assist with employee events
Provide support to benefits/payroll, training&development and recruitment activities
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Immediate, open position
$65,000 - $75,000 annual compensation
Completion of a Post Graduate College diploma or University degree in Human Resources required
CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation preferred
One to three years of previous Human Resources experience required
Experience working with Workday or similar HRIS platforms is preferred
Ability to use discretion in confidential and personal situations
Excellent communication skills required in English (spoken and written)
Knowledge of employment legislation required
Excellent organizational skills, proven accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be self-motivated and professional
Strong computer literacy required: MS Office; Excel/Word/Power Point/Outlook
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
