Join Intact's P&C underwriting team as a Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. This full-time hybrid role requires in-office presence two days a week while handling various underwriting tasks.

This 12-month temporary position is suited for those with a minimum of one year of underwriting experience, especially in Commercial Lines P&C. You will assist Underwriters, handle policy endorsements, and manage inquiries from brokers efficiently. This role promotes positive relationships, continuous learning, and personal growth, ensuring you thrive within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:• Manage insurance policy endorsements and cancellations • Address straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly • Assist Underwriters in complex policy administration • Apply underwriting strategies per company guidelines • Utilize computer systems for underwriting transactions

Requirements:• Minimum 1 year of underwriting experience • Prior experience in Commercial Lines P&C preferred• Strong organizational and typing skills • Excellent written and verbal communication • Must be eligible to work in Canada
