Bartender

to join our growing team at JAG Hotel in St. John’s, NL. The ideal candidate would possess a positive “can-do” attitude and a high level of professionalism, coupled with a strong work ethic and customer service skills. This often involves working in fast-paced environments at varying times throughout the day or night.Main Duties&Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner Take beverage orders from customers and prepare and serve beverages promptly, ensuring quality service and guest satisfaction, and serve food when required Maintain a thorough knowledge of the drink menu and specials and make recommendationsMonitor the bar area, promptly addressing and resolving any guest issues Accurately track credit card receipts and cash transactions while collecting customer payments Adhere to all alcohol service regulations and safety guidelines, including checking IDs when necessary Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking suppliesDemonstrate a professional and positive presentation to guests and colleagues, and be well-groomed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills&Attributes

Serve Responsible Certificate required, or willingness to obtain the certification Completion of a Bartending program from an accredited school is an asset 1 to 2 years’ experience as a bartender or a similar role is required Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and cash handling Ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service Quick problem-solving skills to address customer complaints and requests Why Work with Us
