Lead Transportation Safety in Edson, Western Alberta (Jasper)

Elevate transportation safety standards as the Transportation Safety&Compliance Lead at the Educational Service Centre in Edson, Alberta. Oversee driver training operations and ensure compliance with legislative regulations.

Reporting to the Director of Transportation Services, this leadership role involves enhancing operational safety, driver competency, and continuous improvement of transportation programs. Manage driver training school activities and supervise Licensed Driving Instructors while conducting routine assessments. Your commitment will foster a culture prioritizing safety and accountability across the division.

Key Responsibilities:• Lead driver training and safety programs for Class 2 and S-Endorsement • Supervise and evaluate Licensed Driving Instructors regularly • Conduct driver evaluations and functional assessments accurately • Ensure compliance with National Safety Code and Alberta regulations• Perform safety assessments and promote risk-reduction strategies

Requirements:• Strong knowledge of Alberta transportation legislation • Experience in transportation safety management or fleet compliance • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Valid Class 1 or 2 operator’s licence with S-Endorsement • In-Vehicle Class 2 Instructor Certificate (orwillingness to obtain)
