Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical&Instrumentation (E&I) .

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role provides technical direction and frontline leadership to our E&I crew, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems across the facility. This is a hands‑on leadership role with a strong impact on plant performance, team development, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Champion a safe work environment by enforcing safe work practices, supporting company policies, conducting incident investigations, and ensuring proper training and adherence to electrical and instrumentation standards.

Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the electrical and instrumentation team, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative culture.

Work closely with Production, Technical, and Purchasing teams to maintain equipment reliability and support operational targets.

Plan, schedule, and supervise E&I work activities, including work orders, priority setting, shutdown coordination, and emergency response.

Support and participate in maintenance and capital projects related to electrical and instrumentation systems.

Collaborate with reliability personnel to support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

Oversee instrumentation systems including sensors, control loops, calibrations, and documentation.

Contribute to maintenance planning, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

A Journeyperson Electrician or Instrumentation Technician trade certificate (Red Seal preferred), or an Electrical Engineering degree with relevant experience.

Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Leadership or supervisory experience required.

Strong troubleshooting and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience with PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems is an asset.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
