Job Requirements
Completion of secondary school
Relevant education and/or at least 2–3 years of work experience
AME«M» Licence – Aircraft
Medium turbine helicopter, Small turbine helicopter experience
Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Aircraft maintenance– general
Valid driver’s licence (driver’s validity license check)
Own transportation
Work location: On site– must be completed at the physical location (no remote option)
Language of work: English
Job Description The opportunity: We are seeking an AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer), Rotorcraft to join our maintenance team at Whitecourt Airport, Woodlands Ln, Whitecourt, AB. The role is integral to ensuring the airworthiness and operational reliability of our fleet. The successful candidate will work in both base and field environments, supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. This is a full‑time, permanent position, and the compensation ranges from $44.50 to $46.15 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and applicable skills.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect maintenance work performed by aircraft mechanics
Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft to ensure they meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety
Perform routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul to meet standards and procedures
Maintain detailed repair, inspection, and certification records and reports; complete associated paperwork including Journey Log and Maintenance Log entries
Carry out line maintenance, repairs, and scheduled maintenance inspections; troubleshoot aircraft hydraulic, mechanical, and structural systems
Perform structural, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs and overhauls on company aircraft as required to correct defects and maintain regulatory compliance
Install and modify engines, flight controls, fuel, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems during scheduled maintenance, unscheduled repairs, or component upgrades
Break down airframes, engines, and aircraft systems for detailed inspection, repair, and cleaning; reassemble, test, and certify
Guide, instruct, and assist apprentices or other junior personnel in their duties
Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing modification of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures
Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions
Maintain an inventory of parts and equipment, tools, and calibrations
