Become a key player in workplace safety as a Senior Health and Safety Consultant located in Saskatoon. This role blends strategic insight with hands-on experience to drive safety improvements.
In this permanent, full-time position, you will need a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of field-level experience in safety management systems. Your responsibilities include influencing stakeholders, leading safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with legislation. This role calls for strong coaching abilities and a proactive approach to injury prevention, emphasizing collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:• Educate stakeholders on health and safety best practices • Identify promising practices for injury prevention • Lead stakeholder meetings and training sessions • Develop plans for effective implementation of safety initiatives • Ensure reporting on safety metrics and continuous accountability
Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Canadian Registered Safety Professional certification is an asset • 3-5 years of direct safety consulting experience • Excellent relationship-building and conflict resolution skills • In-depth knowledge of OH&S regulations and standards
