Assistant Lead Hand - SARCAN Processing Plant Responsibilities Assistant Lead Hands supervise personnel on the plant floor, ensuring safe, harmonious, and efficient work practices.

Ensure supply inventories are maintained. Assist with shipping and receiving; coordinate the movement of products entering the plant.

Assist in general maintenance when necessary. Assist with employee performance evaluations. Assume duties of Lead Hand in their absence. Attend training and workshops, perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Completed at least some secondary school.

1–2 years of experience in an industrial setting.

Forklift certification.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Knowledge of OH&S regulations.

Understanding of operation and maintenance of production equipment.

Knowledge of computers.

A strong degree of professionalism while remaining highly personable and approachable in the company of people of all abilities, cultures, and backgrounds.

High ethical conduct.

A satisfactory criminal record check.

A commitment to teamwork and meeting team goals.

Flexibility and willingness to change priorities and deadlines.

Physical Requirements This position works around the plant and yard on a daily basis, with occasional office work. Bending, climbing, stretching, lifting, and toting are required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
