Wood Shop Production Worker, Saskatoon

Pay Class 12 (range of $21.10 to $25.78 per hour)

Employment Terms: Full-Time

Location: Saskatoon

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, the successful applicant will perform production duties and may assist in the coordination and delivery of training to program clients.

Perform production activities and operate production machinery including mitre saws, up‑cut saws, table saw, air‑nailers, pallet jacks, multi‑rip saw, banding machines, and material handling equipment.

Assist in job planning, supervision and delegation of duties to area clients.

Ensure area procedures are followed to maintain product quality, production efficiency, and safe working conditions.

Handle shipping and receiving of materials.

Assist with inventory counts.

Perform production activities and operate production machinery in additional Training Centre Departments as required.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Senior Supervisor.

Qualifications

Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.

Industrial, mechanical and/or woodworking experience.

Forklift operator certificate and WHMIS certification are considered assets.

Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively with individuals experiencing disabilities.

Strong mathematical and communication skills.

Final candidates must provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
