We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Electrician in our Saskatoon, Sask office. Reporting to the Shop Services Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for supporting shop operations such as but not limited to: Testing and Inspections, trouble shooting of electrical systems, disassemble and reassemble mechanical parts, and rewiring.Key Responsibilities
Work safely and efficiently on low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems across diverse environments, including commercial, utility, manufacturing, mining, pipeline, and oil&gas sectors Perform repair and maintenance on primary and secondary power equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and protective relays Confidently operate a wide range of electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment Prepare accurate and detailed technical reports Interact with clients in a professional and courteous mannerIdentify opportunities for process improvements and support their implementation Perform additional duties as required Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician or Power Systems Electrician Red Seal Certification preferred Hands‑on maintenance experience across low- to high‑voltage power systems Field experience with power delivery equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformersHigh‑voltage cable termination experience (up to 35 kV) required (preferred) Broad knowledge of commercial, industrial, and utility environments Completion of a trade or technical school program PSE (Power Systems Electrician), CET (Certified Engineering Technologist), or NETA certification preferredValid driver’s license Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong initiative and client focus Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environmentExcellent time management skills and keen attention to detail Willingness to travel to remote sites and work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays Company Benefits
