Description
Location: Saskatoon.
Production Worker (Operator) Production Operations role responsible for assembly, machinery, processing, and packaging tasks.
Responsibilities
Setup, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes.
Follow established procedures for operating conventional and/or CNC manufacturing equipment.
Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
Resolve issues related to production, machinery, processing, and packaging operations.
Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
Determine and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform simple routine maintenance and cleaning.
Maintain safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements and contribute to manufacturing of components and finished products.
Perform general labor duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety&Health
Comply with safety policies and applicable regulations.
Maintain orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related training.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.
Required Competencies
Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
Previous related experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken English.
Ability to read and understand basic instructions provided in written or drawing form.
Good mathematical skills, including accurate use of a tape measure (metric/standard).
Understanding of common workplace safety and environmental practices.
Ability to meet attendance and punctuality requirements.
Ability to work shift work.
Physical ability to handle objects weighing up to 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Forklift operation would be an asset.
Education
Grade 12 Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
