Role The STSC Job Coach– Construction Trades is responsible for the coordination, implementation and facilitation of STSC courses focused on construction trades in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan to ensure successful delivery and positive outcomes for all stakeholders in our community.

Duties

Deliver and/or monitor facilitation of STSC construction trade courses

Participate in program development

Promote STSC training programs to appropriate industry partners

Plan, track, and report on outputs and outcomes

Participant coaching including job search support

Maintain database, electronic records and other administrative duties

Maintain inventory control systems and equipment upkeep

Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed

Liaise with STSC industry employers for employment placements

Monitor and assess labour market trends/opportunities

Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or Executive Director

Requirements

Good knowledge and handling of project management methodology and techniques

Good understanding of classroom instruction methods and the ability to deliver material in an engaging manner

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Good knowledge of trades and apprenticeship opportunities in Saskatchewan

Valid driver’s license

Journey Person / Vocational Certificate

Post‑secondary education/certification in a related field (asset)

Experience in providing employment support services to a diverse client group including vulnerable individuals (asset)

Clean vulnerable sector criminal record check
