In this permanent role, you will conduct inspections, analyze accident reports, and provide critical insights to enhance vessel safety and operational standards. Your collaboration with external entities such as Transport Canada and classification surveyors will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance across the Seaway System.
Key Responsibilities:• Ensure vessel compliance through detailed inspections • Analyze incidents and compile comprehensive reports • Coordinate with various external stakeholders • Monitor safety and security compliance data • Execute enforcement duties under the Canada Marine Act
Requirements:• Post-secondary education in a related field • 8+ years of operational marine experience • Master Mariner Certificate valid for Canadian vessels • Enforcement Officer qualification required • Fluency in French and English for stakeholder communication
