About the role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Temporary full-time Scheduler/Timekeeper/Program Clerk
to join our dynamic
Collections Operations East
team.
The
Collections Operations East
team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by providing administrative support to all program activities within the Collections and Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and creating rotational work schedules, timekeeping functions and administrative support to all program activities and will provide this support in accordance with all regulations, standards and good manufacturing practices.
Leveraging your excellent customer service skills, you will provide administrative support for the Collections team and other departments as assigned.
Drawing on your knowledge or experience in records management, you will provide support including packing/shipping/retrieval of offsite records.
Utilizing your strong attention to detail you will perform timekeeping/payroll functions, as well as data entry and database maintenance, maintain accurate records and filing.
Prepare/create/revise work schedules according to Collective Agreement requirements.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Desired education and skills
Completion of a secondary school program in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably one year in Office Administration.
Minimum of three years of recent experience in related position preferably in regulated environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in the use of personal computers within a Windows NT operating system. Intermediate skill level required, using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software, and databases.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, being able to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with others.
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, in English are required.
Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships within a team environment as well as with departmental staff, management, volunteers and customers.
Excellent customer service skills are critical, including effective listening skills, critical thinking and the ability to respond effectively.
Strong organizational and time management skills, being able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities within short timelines.
Exceptionally strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Shifts are currently Monday to Friday 0600 - 1400, rotates through Saturdays and works an equal number of stat holidays with the team.
