Become the welcoming face of Beacon Community Services as a Receptionist and Navigator at the SHOAL Centre. This role focuses on assisting community members with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
As the first point of contact for visitors at the SHOAL Centre, you will actively engage with the community in a public-facing capacity. This position demands excellent judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities while providing vital support. Specifically, you will utilize both reception and navigation skills to help individuals connect with the right services.
Key Responsibilities:• Welcome clients and visitors in a respectful manner • Answer phone calls and route inquiries appropriately • Maintain an organized and professional reception area • Document resource requests and referrals accurately • Support registration and program administration
Requirements:• Experience in reception or customer service roles • Competence in data entry and records management • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment • High level of professionalism and discretion
